Redwood universal exists to inspire children to discover their purpose and reach their full potential. Redwood organized the Summer Edition of it’s Ready Study programme for children between the ages of nine to seventeen. The Redwood Summer Camp gave kids the chance to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through practical experiments and taught them other cool things.

The camp also saw us teaching the kids to become good global and communal citizens. Inspired by the lessons, the kids came together and organized a Bake Exhibition to raise funds to donate to a children’s home. Some members of the Youth Advisory Board of Redwood Universal were joined by the CEO of Redwood Universal Carmen Bruce-Annan and other staff of Redwood. They donated 432 pieces of baby diapers, 24 pieces of sanitary pads, 24 pieces of Powerzone detergent, 48 toothbrushes, 36 pieces of sponge, 20 pieces of Fontissue toilet papers, 8 large size pieces of Ariel washing powder and 10 pieces of Pepsodent.

Children who attended Redwood Universal’s most recent Ready Study programme, have donated Ghs 1,000 worth of goods to the Osu Children’s Home in Accra. The children chose to raise funds for a charity of their choice, through a bake sale and invited family and friends to support their efforts.
The Ready Study programme developed by Redwood Universal, helps children to discover new, and fun ways of learning, so they can push themselves further. This includes study skills, personal development, well-being, STEM and the importance of becoming active and positive members of their community.
Funds raised from the bake sale were used to purchase and donate: 432 nappies, 24 pieces of sanitary pads, 24 pieces of detergent, 48 toothbrushes, 36 pieces of sponge, 20 pieces of toilet tissue, 8 large size pieces of washing powder and 10 pieces of toothpaste.
