Redwood Campus returns to the prestigious Kingham Hill School this year! In addition to our exciting, hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) content, we have introduced creative arts modules for a more holistic experience. An A-level and university preparation course has also been created for children aged 15-17 preparing for advanced levels of study.
We believe children have been created to do good works. Our job at Redwood, is to provide them with experiences and access that helps them achieve their full potential.
Redwood Campus is a unique, bespoke summer camp for children aged 11-17, created with the needs of the African child in mind. Despite attending good schools, a lack of resources and facilities means that students on the African continent do not have the same exposure to diverse and practical learning experiences as their European and American peers. This reduces their competitive advantage in an increasingly global village.
Our summer camp gives the children this exposure and allows them to discover and learn comfortably together in an exclusive environment. Children learn a blend of practical and theoretical STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths), creative arts, life skills and career coaching to help them discover their purpose and achieve their full potential.
Jordan Kivelstadt and Grant Hemingway have never been ones to follow a recipe. The two formed a friendship with a shared goal of breaking down the wine industry’s glass walls through sustainability and innovation. From Jordan's founding of Free Flow Wines to Grant's decade of experience building successful wine brands like Pomelo and Blue Plate, the two have proven their capability to make it happen. As devoted outdoorsmen, both Jordan and Grant understand the need to make our planet a better place. This, combined with their desire to make wine available in every setting is brought together in the creation of Essentially Geared Wine Co. We’ll see you ‘round the campfire.
Unlike other summer camps, that typically offer African children English as a second language (ESOL) and leisure activities to make up for their lack of innovative academic content, Redwood Campus students enjoy the best of both worlds.
Our students have 40 hours of study, delivered through an extensive and innovative curriculum, led by qualified, experienced teachers from the Kingham Hill School. In addition to our exciting, hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) content, we have introduced creative arts modules for a more holistic experience. An A-level and university preparation course has also been created for 15-17 year olds, preparing them for advanced levels of study. The children have lots of time for fun too, with extra-curricular activities, sport, tours, excursions and of course, shopping, which always goes down well!
Redwood Campus is fully residential, with the children boarding on site at Kingham Hill School. A quality menu is provided to ensure they are well fed.
Each child is special to us, and we treat their care and safety seriously. Our chaperones hold chaperone licences and are DBS checked. They are also trained in Safeguarding and First Aid. We also comply with the legal student:chaperone ratio to ensure our students safety.
